I have decided to join the Long Weekend Blog Hop. The challenge is to make the Amy Butler Weekender Travel Bag. It is a challenging pattern, so by doing it all together we can support and help each other out. It is being hosted by Lori H. Designs and Fabric Mutt. There are tons of great giveaways too so be sure to check it out. Head on over for all the details! Once my pattern arrives I will be getting started on my Weekender Bag!
hello Stacy, its your old friend Rebecca! I am following you! are you scared!
I want weekend bag! That sounds so awesome! but we both know I cant sew worth a lick!
shoot spelled your name wrong…dont kill me… đŸ™‚
Don’t Worry Rebecca! I would not dream of it. If I survive this project maybe you can convince me to make you one *wink*
lol survive??? now youre scaring me lol i dont think you will have a prob with it, because you do such a lovely job with your quilts…:)
I love the Weekender bags I’ve seen online! I’m sure yours will turn out beautifully, Stacey! Have you decided on your fabric?
I am thinking about either Ty Pennington’s Foliage in Charcoal with accents from the Impressions in Spiced Chocolate line, or Amy Butler’s Paradise Garden in Midnight with a TBD accent fabric. I can’t seem to visualize an accent for that one but I love it. Any thoughts?
Those are both lovely choices! The colours in the Amy Butler print really speak to me and I’d probably highlight them with a chartreuse accent for the piping and straps (I love chartreuse!). I like how both prints have a dark background, so they’ll be less likely to show dirt!
