Hello Stacey,
Re: Mendocino Quilt and Pillow templates
Do you have updates to the instructions for the Mendocino Quilt and Pillow patterns?
I purchased a Mendocino Quilt Kit last week from “Fashionable Fabrics” and have been making my templates for the quilt. I notice that there is a significant jump from the size of template E ( a roughly 4″x4″ shape) to template F (roughly 6″x 6″ shape). Template G is a wonky 5″x 5″.
Template H looks sized to fit template G.
Should I swap F and G – but then what about H?
Please let me know where to get the updates. I don’t want to cut fabric the wrong size!
Thanks,
Linda Fleming

I’m also making your Anemone quilt from the kit. I made a mock-up using another fabric before cutting into the Mendocino, and noticed the center circle was much larger than the opening in the dahlia array. I assumed the templates include seam allowance, am I mistaken?
Yes seam allowances are included =) the center circle should look larger than the opening. Once the seams are pinned and eased, it’ll fit. If your 1/4″ is off, then the opening might be smaller.
Dear stacey
I have been looking all over the web, trying to find a correction for template F which seems to large for the Anemone Quilt?
It’s really wavy when sewn on and now I feel struck
Thank you in advance
Kind regards
Anette
I have emailed you the correct template. Enjoy!
You can only cut (1) 24 17/8″ square from a WOF strip, so you will need to cut (2) WOF strips in order to get (2) 24 7/8″ squares. I also took a peek at the pattern, and the instructions state to cut a 24 7/8″ square, not a 24 1/4″ square, so please make sure you are cutting the square the right size =) Hope this helps!
